Hello, my name is Rhonda James. I started Custom Cleaning in January 1991 almost by accident.
At the time, I was working as a medical technician in a Stuart doctor’s office.  The cleaning company that was hired to clean the office went on vacation so I “volunteered” to clean the office for the weeks their regular company was away.  In part, because I love to clean and also because I thought this would be my chance to finally get the office cleaned up and looking the way it should look.  Over the years their regular cleaning company had gotten comfortable with the cleaning account and had really let things slip as far as the cleaning goes.

On my first week filling in for them, I basically went in there and gave the office a top to bottom deep cleaning/spring cleaning.  When the office manager arrived on Monday morning and saw the results, she was so happy with my cleaning that she asked me to keep cleaning the office from that point on.   And, that was how Custom Cleaning originally came about.

It soon became obvious to me that there was a real need in Martin and St. Lucie Counties for a high quality cleaning service.   Within a very short time I had cleaning accounts in Stuart, Jensen Beach, Hobe Sound, Sewells Point, Palm City and Port Saint Lucie.

Soon my cleaning business started expanding into other areas, such as residential cleaning and construction cleaning and it became necessary to hire & train some additional cleaning help and implement strict training guidelines and strict cleaning procedures that would be followed on each and every job.  I wanted to make sure that the same level of individual attention to details and consistently excellent cleaning would be present on each and every account, each and every time a home or office was cleaned.   My goal was to always have 100% customer satisfaction.

Fast Forward 20 years and on January 3, 2011, Custom Cleaning of the Treasure Coast, Inc. celebrated 20 years in business.    Even though my cleaning business has grown over the years, I find that most of my customers have no idea that my company is as large as it is.   I am sure that is because they see the same 2 people every time their home or office is cleaned and we take pride in exceeding their cleaning expectations each and every time we clean.   I am also a very hands on type of manager and I spend my days on the road checking on various residential & commercial cleaning accounts, talking with customers, developing cleaning plans and helping out where needed.

Even in this tough economy, Custom Cleaning has remained consistent in growth and we have had very little turnover in clients or cleaning help.   This is something that I am very proud of and it says a lot about our professionalism and the excellent cleaning services we provide.
